Winter does not just come with freezing winds but brings many problems with it, drying scalp is one among them. Dried scalp generates more problems like dandruff, itching, hair fall, which all are due to loss of moisture from your hair. But the good part is that like a every problem comes with a solution, so dry winter hair has its too.

Let’s discuss these solutions now:

Avoid Scorching Showers

Although cold water in winter freezes you but it is advisable to avoid scorching hot showers during winter. You can use lukewarm water for your hair which can keep your scalp moisturized, thereby, protecting your hair from falling and breaking.

Cover Your Head

While stepping out of your home, do cover your hair with cap, hat or muffler to lock the moisture of your scalp, which is necessary for your hair. Along with it, don’t forget to tie your hair before stepping out to avoid dried scalp and frizzy hair from cool breeze.

Stay Hydrated

With the usher of winters, the intake of water gets reduced, which do affect our skin and scalp leaving them dry. Dry scalp can cause your hair to fall out. So drink plenty of water to keep your body and ultimately your scalp, hydrated.

Avoid using dryer

Drying your damp hair artificially is not a good option for the health of your hair, which can leave your scalp dry. Let it dry naturally or if you are in some hurry to dry your hair then you can use dryer, provided it has been set on low and is atleast 15 cm away from your hair.

Avoid Frequent Hair Wash

Washing your hair frequently during winters also holds good chances of drying up your scalp, thereby causing dandruff, hair fall, hair breakage and frizzy hair. So, it is advisable to skip 1-2 hair wash, if you wash your hair very frequently during a week.

Natural Remedies

Natural remedies are the blessings to help you retain your scalp moisture and repair the damage caused. Remedies like banana-avocado mask over hair, applying white egg yolk before hair wash, applying rice, milk and castor oil to your hair, can work wonders.

Try the remedies to protect your hair and if these remedies don’t work then you seriously need to look for some hair loss treatment in Lucknow because winter will come and go but your hair should always remain healthy and shiny.
